Titles Index

Search results from clicking on a heading in the Headings Index , as well as results from all searches but Keyword searches and Headings searches (i.e., Browse searches), are displayed in the Titles Index. Keyword search results are displayed in the Keyword Titles Index and results from Heading searches (with the exception of Call Number Browse) are displayed in the Headings Index. Results from a Call Number Browse are displayed in the Titles Index. The Titles Index displays the type of search, the title(s), and other information as defined by your library. The default order of the results is by title, but the order may be changed by the user via the Sort By drop-down menu just above the titles listing on the upper left.

To go to the associated Record Details page, click on the underlined title. If there are more than 10 titles, you can display the next 10 titles by clicking the icon. You can return to the previous 10 titles by clicking the icon.

You can save information about the current records in several ways as shown in the Save Options box at the bottom of every results page (note that you may also save a record from any record display page). To save a record or records from a results page, do the following:

  1. 1. Under the RECORDS column of the Save Options box, select the option you prefer ("Select All - This Page", "User Selected - This Page" or "User Selected - All Pages). The "User Selected" options require that you check the box to the left of each title you want to save.
  2. Under the FORMAT column of the Save Options box, select the format in which you want to save the record(s): ASCII text or MARC format (use ASCII text for Interlibrary Loan purposes).
  3. If you want to email the records, enter your own email address in the box provided (the "sender" will be VOYAGER). When you receive the email message, you may forward it with an added note from yourself, as necessary (e.g., as an Interlibrary Loan request).
  4. Click the icon to save the record(s).
  5. The record(s) will then display in your browser window (e.g., Internet Explorer, Netscape). Click on the FILE dropdown menu in the upper left corner of your browser window and click on either the SAVE AS or PRINT option, according to your need.
  6. Click the BACK button in the upper left corner of your browser window to return to the results list.
  7. Click the Clear Selected button at the bottom left of the results list to clear the checkmarks from all of the currently checked titles.
  8. To begin a new search, click the New Search button. The Title Bar at the top of the page will display your current NPS Voyager Library Catalog location.
